The 5th Atlantic Stakeholder Platform Conference will take place in Vigo (Spain) the 23rd and 24th of October 2018.
The Atlantic Strategy is the primary framework for collaborative action in the maritime domain of the Atlantic Ocean area. Five years since the conception of the Atlantic action plan, more than 1.200 unique Atlantic projects have supported its implementation representing 6 billion euros in investment.
The Enterprise Europe Network and the Matchmaking event
During the first day of the conference, 23rd Oct 2018, the partners of the Enterprise Europe Network in Galicia, Spain (GAIN and Tecnópole), will organise a Matchmaking event between organisations and SMEs located in the Atlantic Region aiming to help maritime business operators, service suppliers, research and academia and other relevant stakeholders to connect, innovate and grow internationally. Moreover the B2B session targets to cover all the priorities of the Atlantic Strategy:
- Priority 1: Promote entrepreneurship and innovation
- Priority 2: Protect, secure and develop the potential of the Atlantic marine and coastal environment
- Priority 3: Improve accessibility and connectivity
- Priority 4: Create a socially inclusive and sustainable model of regional development
The participants will also have the unique opportunity to meet with representatives of the European Commission, the EIB, the Network of Business Angels, ministries and other institutions to discuss the possibility to submit specific project ideas to the upcoming calls, and learn first-hand what are the opportunities for financing.
